Diversity

We are a diverse society and nation. Due to a history of immigration and the prevalence of freedom, America today is home to people of all nationalities and hundreds of religious traditions. Apart from English, millions of Americans speak languages such as Spanish, Korean, Hindi, Gujarati, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, etc., creating a beautiful and enriching experience.

Understanding and accepting this truth about the diversity that exist in America are essential to preserving the peace and harmony that we so earnestly cherish. In any truly free society, pluralism and diversity are certainties. However, there are powerful groups that are opposed to diversity in America and around the world. It is therefore necessary to promote and celebrate the diversity of our nation and to help all Americans recognize and appreciate the beauty and validity of the idea called “diversity”.

Federally mandated and funded programs to increase the awareness among Americans on this subject should be a top priority for Congress.
